I'm Devin Steakley, and I bring over two decades of hands-on experience in construction, emergency services, and public service to commercial property inspections. Throughout my career, I've always focused on making sure buildings are safe and functional for the people who depend on them.
I proudly served six years in the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer, specializing in carpentry and masonry. I led and supported construction of infrastructure projects like firing ranges in California and schools in Panama, projects that required precision, teamwork, and getting the details right when people's safety was on the line.
After the military, I transitioned into residential and commercial roofing, gaining valuable insight into structural integrity and building systems from the top down. Then I spent 18 years as a firefighter and EMT, serving my community during critical moments. That experience sharpened my situational awareness, attention to detail, and ability to remain calm under pressure - qualities I carry into every inspection.
I was drawn to building inspections because it allows me blend my building and fire and life safety expertise, with my passion for serving others. I'm a CCPIA® Certified Commercial Property Inspector and active association member.
